Hallmark Keepsake Lego C-3PO Christmas Tree Ornament

It's become something of a tradition to receive a new Star Wars Hallmark Keepsake Christmas tree ornament from my parents each birthday. This year, it was a Lego C-3PO - released to mark the 20th anniversary of Lego's Star Wars line (has it really been that long?!)

Threepio is the latest in a line of Lego Star Wars characters that have been immortalised as ornaments (including the Lego Darth Vader I received from my parents some years ago). He's sculpted with Hallmark's usual stunning attention to detail, and will make a great addition to my growing collection of Keepsake ornaments!

Hallmark Keepsake Praetorian Guard and Rey Christmas Tree Ornaments

My fiancée and I both have birthdays in the first week of December, making us prime candidates to receive Hallmark Keepsake ornaments as gifts. This year was no different, and we added two new additions to our collection courtesy of my parents - the Praetorian Guard and Rey from The Last Jedi.

As we've come to expect with items from the Hallmark Keepsake line, the sculpt and paint apps on these figures is second to none. Best of all, the pair combine to form a very nice miniature diorama on the tree together.

I'm especially glad to have some more sequel trilogy representation on our tree. They'll go very nicely with our BB-8 and Poe's X-Wing!

Hallmark Keepsake Stormtrooper Peekbuster Christmas Tree Ornament

Over the last decade, I've been slowly building a collection of Hallmark's exquisite Keepsake Star Wars Christmas ornaments. As time has passed, the ornaments have become more and more complex: featuring lights, sounds, and now even motion-sensing capabilities. This year, the Stormtrooper Peekbuster ornament takes advantage of this latest feature to create an incredibly effective present-peeking deterrent. Thanks to a birthday present from my parents, one of these peekbusters is now standing vigil over our tree.

With a Christmas-themed sculpt and a forward-facing motion sensor, the Stormtrooper Peekbuster is a wonderfully unique addition to the Keepsake line. Programmed with six custom-recorded phrases, the trooper sounds off whenever motion is detected in the vicinity. The detailing and paint app is - as always with these decorations - top-notch. Best of all, he's almost perfectly in-scale with figures from the 3 3/4" line, leaving open some tantalising diorama-building possibilities.

Hallmark Keepsake BB-8 and Imperial Stormtrooper Christmas Tree Ornaments

It wouldn't be Christmas without a little Star Wars on the tree, and this year my parents added two new characters to my growing collection of Hallmark Keepsake Star Wars ornaments - BB-8 and an Imperial Stormtrooper.

While BB-8 is a static model, the Imperial Stormtrooper comes with an electronic sound feature and is able to recite a (surprisingly large) variety of dialogue from A New Hope at the push of a button.

Both ornaments live up to the high standard of quality we've come to expect from the Keepsake line - featuring an exquisite amount of detail and impeccable paint applications. In fact, the non-festive nature of both means that they'll make for great display pieces even once the holiday season is over.

Hallmark Keepsake T-70 X-Wing Christmas Tree Ornament

Every year, Hallmark release a new assortment of 'Keepsake' Star Wars Christmas ornaments. This year's range comes with a distinct Force Awakens flavour - and one of the coolest is this superb replica of Poe Dameron's T-70 X-Wing fighter that I received as a birthday present from my parents this week

Like it's predecessors, this ornament features exquisite detailing, a superb paint job, and is cast in a high-quality plastic that gives the model a surprising amount of heft for its size. As an extra feature, the ornament is battery powered - and pressing BB-8's head causes the unit to play one of three pieces of Poe's dialogue from the final battle above Starkiller Base.

For mounting, you'll need to attach your own thread to the inconspicuous hook mounted at the rear. I opted for some stylish black ribbon!

Hallmark Keepsake "The Rise of Lord Vader" Christmas Tree Ornament

Shortly before Christmas I posted a short piece about the amazing range of Star Wars-themed Christmas "Keepsake" ornaments that Hallmark releases each year. For Christmas this year, I received another from my parents to add to my collection: "The Rise of Lord Vader".

The detailing on this ornament is exquisite, and perfectly captures Vader as we see first see him on the operating table. One particularly cool feature is the built-in sound effects: the press of a button causing the ornament to play dialogue from Revenge of the Sith at a surprisingly loud volume.

Hallmark Keepsake General Grievous Christmas Tree Ornament

A few days ago I posted some photos of my Hallmark Christmas tree ornaments. This Christmas, I received another one to add to my collection - General Grievous.

The quality and detail on these decorations never fails to disappoint. It's an excellent representation of Grievous, roughly scaled to fit with figures in the 3 3/4" line. His billowing cape is a particularly nice touch, and lends him a festive red colouring. Grievous was released as part of Hallmark's 2012 line, so will be hard to find in stores now - but if you do come across one, be sure to pick him up. He'll make a great addition to any Christmas tree (Star Wars-themed or otherwise!)

Hallmark Keepsake TIE Interceptor Christmas Tree Ornament

Before Christmas I posted some images of the various Star Wars ornaments on our Christmas tree. I've now got another one to add to the collection - this very cool Hallmark TIE Interceptor. It's electronic too, and plays TIE Fighter sounds and the Imperial March!
